We are very happy to share that our latest work on the „Cycling Aging in Different State of Charge Windows in Lithium-Ion Batteries with Silicon-Dominant Anodes“ has been published in the Journal of the ECS - The Electrochemical Society 🔋 👨🔬

Our highlights include:
💡 Significant lifetime improvement by operating cells with silicon-dominant anodes in high full-cell SoCs (i.e., 50-100% SoC)
→ the anode’s end of discharge potential is a function of the SoH
→ the charge-averaged full-cell potential is a function of the SoH
💡 Cell resistance is dominated by the silicon-dominant anode, especially over aging and is also a function of the SoH
💡 Loss of lithium inventory (LLI) is the main aging mechanism
💡 Highest anode expansion for highest anode lithiation
