Scale-up: Magnetic nanoparticle synthesis at pilot scale
Magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) are used increasingly in various industries of medicine, pharmacy and food production. The cost-effective and reproducible production of high-quality MNPs requires the development of an innovative process strategy. This involves the use of methods of intelligent automation and digitalization.
The research project focuses on the scale-up from lab scale to pilot scale of the synthesis reaction in order to produce MNPs. The objective is to design, implement, validate and optimize a fully automated and reproducible synthesis process.
