In the course Energy and Economy, current events regarding energy supply are explored. The points of emphasis of the course lie in the current constraints of today’s energy supply, and in the economic and social viewpoints regarding the issue. With the help of specialists in the field, the selected issues are presented and discussed.

As the technical foundations of generation technology itself will be discussed less, it is advisable to take courses such as Energy Systems I or Energy from Biomass and Residuals before taking this course.
