General tolerances according to DIN ISO 2768-1

General tolerances for linear and angular dimensions with four tolerance classes are used to simplify drawings. The selection of a tolerance class is intended to take into account the respective accuracy customary in the workshop. If a smaller tolerance is required for a single nominal dimension, or if a larger one is economical, then this is indicated next to the nominal dimension.
