Objectives
After participating the lecture, the student is able to understand the prerequisites of the basics for a successful machine design. He has the ability to do the design procedure independently by the means of the mediated general design criteria. The student is able to explain the challenges and propose appropriate solutions. Beyond this he is able to evaluate different calculation methods for electromechanical actuators.
Description
Basic calculation and design rules for d.c., asynchronous and synchronous machines. Detailed coverage of how to write computer programs for the design and mathematical validation of electrical machines.
